Three Gaits Class This Week

 This week at Three Gaits I did something I had never done before. After my usual warm up laps, we did lunge leading while trotting.

Lunge leading is when the person leading the horse has an extra long rope. The leader has most of the control of the horse while me, the rider posted and did two point while at the trot in a wide circle. I was on Knox at one end of the arena, while the other rider in the class was at the other end so we both had plenty of space.

After the exciting lesson, I got to take Knox back to the barn and untack him and brush him. Then I took him into his stall, which is harder than it seems. He saw his food bucket and went one direction, while I tried to get him to come with me. It was another fun lesson.

Next lesson I'm going to do something I haven't done in a long time, but I don't know what. I'll make sure to post about it after!
