3 Gaits- Berry

 This session at 3 Gaits I have been riding a new horse named Berry.

Berry is taller than some of the other horses I've been riding and she's newer, so it's taken a couple weeks for us to get used to each other.

Berry is a very fast walker. She walks so fast that in order to keep space between us and the other horse and rider, we've had to get creative in order to cross the arena, using circles, halts, and cutting across the arena.

Berry really enjoys trotting and going through obstacle courses. We've even been practicing two point going through the obstacle courses and even trotting in two point. Berry definitely gives me a work out during lessons!

Some horses I've ridden during past sessions haven't been able to trot the entire arena, but with Berry, she could trot all day if I let her. This was the first time in a long time that I successfully trotted the whole arena without a leader. It was a big accomplishment!
