Ruin And Rising (Grishaverse #3): A Book Review

 

After the crushing battle with the Darkling and his shadow warriors, the nichevo'ya Alina Starkov is forced to live underground with the last of her own army and the mysterious Apparat. Alina was once the powerful Sun Summoner, but she had lost her powers after the fight. She begins to feel like the Apparat is up to something and soon learns that he is keeping her underground so she cannot use her powers. He believes that Alina is a Saint and wants to stage her martyrdom. Alina does not want this and wishes to kill the Darkling. With the help of her friends, she manages to escape aboveground and is once again able to use her powers. Will Alina and her Sun Soldiers be able to kill the Darkling for good?
