Disney Parks Day 2: Hollywood Studios!

Our second day at Disney we rode the Skyliner to Hollywood Studios day! Just like in Magic Kingdom, we did a lot of different things!

We started our day in Galaxy's Edge. Dylan was very excited about all the Star Wars rides and displays. Our first ride was Smugglers Run! It was like flying in the Millennium Falcon! I was an engineer, so all I had to do was push a bunch of buttons. After the ride, we even got a picture with Rey!

Our next ride in Galaxy's Edge was Rise of the Resistance. What was cool about this one was that all the cast members were in character!

After spending time in Galaxy's Edge we headed to the next area to ride Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway! This ride was not nearly as intense as the Star Wars rides, but it felt like being in a cartoon!

Since we still had time before our next big event, us girls split up from the guys to go see the Frozen stage show! It was one big sing along featuring lots of different characters! Anna, Kristoff, and Elsa even made a few appearances during the show!

After the show, we met back with the guys to go see the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular. Everyone in the show worked on the actual movies! It was very cool to see how they all did the stunts! They even did the iconic scene with the giant boulder!

After the show we headed over to Toy Story Land! It felt just like being a toy because all the character statues were larger than life! We rode the Slinky-Dog Dash rollercoaster!

Once we were done in Toy Story Land, we split up from the guys again so they could go back to Galaxy's Edge to wait for Dylan's time to build a lightsaber. While they did that, we went and saw the Beauty and the Beast performance! We got front row seats so we could see everything up close!

After the show us girls rode the Skyliner back to the resort to wait for the boys to get back. My next post will be about our final day in Disney. We went to Animal Kingdom and EPCOT in one day!

Disney Parks Day 1: Magic Kingdom!

The first park we went to was Magic Kingdom. We took a bus to get to the park! We had to be awake and ready pretty early to catch our bus.

When we got to the park it was already super busy and we were only at the entrance! We had to wait in a long line to go through security before we could go into Magic Kingdom.
Once we were inside the park we went down Main street and got to see the castle!
The first thing we did was head to Adventure Land. We saw The Enchanted Tiki Room show. After the show we rode Pirates Of The Caribbean. On the sign for Adventure Land there was a statue of Abu from Aladdin. These gold statues were all over the park and a lot made noise or talked when we waved our Magic Bands at them. We found over 40 out of the 50 statues in Magic Kingdom.

After we rode Pirates, we went to Liberty Square. We saw the Hall Of President's show, got put in the stocks, and rode Haunted Mansion while we were in that area.

After our time in Liberty Square, we headed to Fantasy Land. We did quite a bit there. We rode the Mad Tea Party, Peter Pan's Flight, and It's A Small World.

After Fantasy Land, we went to Tomorrow Land! We saw Buzz Lightyear, drove cars on Test Track, and got to ride the new Tron roller coaster. It was crazy fast and in the dark so you couldn't see the drops and turns!

After Tron, we went back to Adventure Land and rode Jungle Cruise. We saw the backside of water!

By the time we were done with Jungle Cruise everyone was tired and hungry for dinner. So we rode the bus back to the resort and had dinner in the cafeteria. I was so hungry I ate 3 slices of pizza, which never happens!

It was a great first park day! Stay tuned for a post about our day in Hollywood Studios!

Art of Animation and Japanese BBQ!

After our weekend in Venice, Florida we drove the rest of the way to Orlando and the Art of Animation Resort at Disney! The building itself was so cool! It had huge drawings of characters! Nemo and Ariel were my favorites!

When we got inside the resort there was also a lot to look at! The walls of the lobby were covered in concept drawings of different characters like Simba, Lightning, McQueen, Ariel, Timon, and more!

We didn't know what room we were going to be staying in until we got there! It was a big surprise to get to stay in a Finding Nemo room!

Once we got settled in, we ent to explore outside our resort! There were huge statues of characters for all 4 sections! There were Nemo (we had a great view of Crush from our room and when we went outside we saw Mr. Ray!), Lion King and Cars!

By the time we finished exploring, we were getting hungry so we briefly left the resort to try a restaurant called Gyu Kaku. It was a Japanese BBQ place were we grilled our own meat and s'mores. It was all very good!

After our dinner, we decided to check out the gift shop in the resort. I spent most of my souvenir money on a new bag and T-shirt!

I had fun just at the resort, but there's plenty more Disney posts coming! I'll be doing one for Magic Kingdom next, so stay tuned!
